Stoner Music was a friendly environment. The expectation for never being there was that they would have more instruments available to look at and purchase. We were hoping to find a variety of guitars to look at, but there were only 6 or so that were available to buy. I also noticed a few ukuleles. From other reviews, the primary practice is repairs and music lessons which was very much apparent upon arrival. Last comment, I would recommend some kind of air cleaner or air freshener as well. It smelled like an old dingy bowling alley and had the stail cigarette and musty smell. Not a deterrent from the capabilities of the store, but I feel the little things represent the depth of professionalism and attention to detail. I can't say much about the abilities of their instrument repairs and music lessons because we didn't go there for that service, but I can only speak for the lack of instruments available to purchase. It was a let down to say the least. I think they would benefit greatly by adding more instruments for sale. Ankeny needs a good instrument retailer.
